The project is inspired by the concept of “Setting Sail,” symbolizing a journey defined by both challenge and opportunity. For a nuclear energy enterprise, the development and utilization of nuclear power resemble a long and demanding voyage toward innovation and sustainability.
The architectural form evokes a ship with raised sails, representing the company’s forward-looking spirit and determination to advance in the nuclear energy sector. The site adopts a landscaped master plan that responds intelligently to Zhanjiang’s hot and rainy climate, allowing the architecture to integrate seamlessly with its natural environment.
A multi-layered vertical greening system is incorporated to enrich the building façades, enhancing visual depth while improving environmental performance. The main building is organized in a character-shaped layout, providing clear functional zoning and efficient internal circulation. This configuration strengthens connectivity between departments and significantly improves operational efficiency

The project involves the construction of a new comprehensive academic building on the eastern side of the existing campus, replacing the former basketball court. The new building has a total gross floor area of approximately 13,011 square meters, accompanied by coordinated improvements to the main entrance and surrounding road infrastructure.
The architectural massing is composed of a three-story multifunctional volume that is laterally offset from the first- and second-floor program blocks. This staggered arrangement enables visual connectivity between spaces while maintaining a cohesive architectural expression.
